My latest hobby article is about how I built and painted my Tzeentch Daemon Prince conversion.

Not really sure I care for the hammer, but the paintwork is aces. The celestial wings are inspired, and you managed the blue and lava glows pretty darn well.

Mind sharing your gold recipe?

Thanks.

The hammer's not for everybody, but it was an essential part of what inspired this conversion to be done at this time as I explain the hobby articles at the link provided.

The fantastic bio-tech looking left arm came from the GW Helbrute multi-part kit.The original Citadel Realm Of Chaos models from the later 1980's were amazing and often had mutations like this sculpted into them and I wanted to recapture that feel. It is, after all, a huge part of what originally enthralled me with GW models. http://www.spikeybitsblog.com/2014/07/tzeentch-daemon-prince-power-of-warp.html

The gold on the staff was done with Balthasar Gold, Gehenna's Gold, wash for shading, then a careful dry brush of Golden Grifffon.

Looks a tad on the beefy side for a tzentchian guy. xD

Technique-wise it's brilliant though.

Size has no bearing on chaos whatsoever. Tzeentch is about sorcery and change. That's the reason why the hammer doesn't bother me. I imagine it's shapeshifting itself.

Nice job.

Beefy? Everyone's got an opinion and my opinion is that a DAMEON PRINCE should be physically imposing and not be a scrawny piece of crap.

As for the other comments here, thanks fellow hobby enthusiasts!
