And it was a blast. I didn't hit any Phantoms (didn't even get to play against Imperials), but Roarking (Called it, my term, I get to claim it) Chewie or Tarn up above people like Wedge, Corran, and the like was fun.
I was running:
Chewie + Predator + Gunner + Falcon
Tarn Mison + R7 Astromech + Stealth Device
Roark + Tactician
Game 1
Prototype A-Wing
Cracken + Wingman
Wedge +
PTL and R2
Hobbie + R2-
D6 and
PTL
It came down to basically trading Tarn for Wedge early, and spent the rest of the game plinking down everything except the A-Wing.
Game 2
Corran +
AS + Marksmanship + R2-D2 + Shield Upgrade
Etahn +
AS + Marksmanship + R5-P9 + Shield Upgrade
One had Protons, one had Flechette I just don't remember which was which as my opponent never used them.
Young player, but great with his maneuvers. Lots of Advanced Sensors Marksmanship KTurning on the E-Wings. His evade dice had some hot streaks, but in the end I was able to get both Super Es without losing a ship.
Game 3
4x Blue Squadron Pilot
1x Bandit Squadron Pilot
Talk about a nail biter. Probably the best game of X-Wing I've played as far as maneuvering goes. His attack dice crapped on him a few times where he would only get 1 hit out of 4 dice. At the end, he just couldn't block Chewie (who was on his last
HP) from getting a shot on his last B-Wing.
All in all very fun. Ended up in 2nd on strength of schedule, with 11 people in attendance (we're larger than some of the international regionals!

). Tactician didn't do much for me after game 1, and I forgot Tarn's stealth device pretty easily, so maybe some changes there. Originally was going to run the Ion Turret, but I thought it would make Roark too much of a target. No Corvette yet for the 3PO for Chewie, maybe by next month's event.
