Due to how dire the situation grows for the imperium at the moment, would they consider using the stocks of geneseed from the original traitor legions in the creation of new space marine chapters if its still lying around.

See Blood Ravens. All but confirmed as a Thousand Son Successor Chapter.

No reason to.

I did the math recently, and even with a 50% loss rate, and a long average life span (thus presenting a low-end estimate), a First Founding Chapter would have 13,000 unused sets of geneseed. There's absolutely no shortage of geneseed, and there never will be.

And they use the Ultramarines almost exclusively for new Foundings. Remember, the Ultramarines successors are two thirds of all Chapters, but that includes every previously made Chapter from other Legion geneseed, so it's safe to say that probably ~90% of brand new Chapters in any given Founding (at least starting with the 22nd after the debacle of the 21st) are Ultramarines.

The AdMech is not an organization that fools around. It took them several thousand years to work up the courage to fiddle with the geneseed (21st Founding), and it failed so hard that you can imagine it will take them several thousand more to try again, lol.

Marneus Calgar is referred to as "one of the Imperium's greatest tacticians" and he treats the Codex like it's the War Bible. If the Codex is garbage, then how bad is everyone else?

I think an Alpha Legion or Night Lords Successor Chapter would be hilarious! Crazy CIA/NSA and Brazilian BOPE SMs. Official reason for the Founding: fur die lulz! The 27th Founding, the Lulzy Founding.
