A slightly different list.
SKarbrand will be warlord. He can kill pretty much everything in combat, and his aura of hatred improves the abilities of the spawn. The spawn need to tie up things that can kill skarbrand (who will probably deepstrike in. )

Theres enough warp charge to get on unit of summoned daemons in a turn.
one of these will be bloodletters/crushers with an icon to guide in skarbrand.

One unit of spawn gets nurgle to run at any S10 threats that the others have to avoid.

The soul grinder provides token anti air and an av13 threat that can deep strike if needed.

Maulerfiends are there in case of heavy armour. Tendrils on one to help tie down a knight if needed.

Should work. Skarbrand is a hellishly dangerous foe; so provided you can give him a turn 2 distraction to get his stuff together and charge he'll wreck whatever you point him at - and that many spawn should do it.

I'll be honest, for the amount of AA firepower a single soulgrinder puts out, I'd be tempted to say 'sod it' and just take your lumps from airstrikes. If your opponent has gone gunship-heavy you won't stop enough to matter, and if he hasn't, who cares about the odd strafing run if you're murdering everyone at ground level?

Not sure what I'd swap it to. Another Maulerfiend, maybe? If you're trying to saturate your opponent with major turn 2 assault threats, a third heavyweight walker can't hurt...

Not sure about the troops choices. Not exactly a big deal, but the shotgun and random extra single cultist seem an odd choice. Equally, the icon of tzeench is a random choice if you've no other tzeenchian daemons and aren't making it the blasted standard. You don't really have enough warp charge to start a summoning cascade....

What disciplines are you thinking of going for with the sorcerors?

The cultist and shotgun were burning spare points.

The tzeentch icon still works for non-tzeentch daemons, tho it only reduces scatter by d6.
summoning is really aiming for a khorne daemon unit a turn to support scarbrand. If lucky and get sacrifice then ill kill cultists for heralds no worries. [I have a built up a pretty good toolbox of daemon options]

I'm going to drop some horrors to give the sorcerors jump packs to keep up with the spawn. They probably wont cast much but will aim for stealth/invisibility or if theres a lot of walkers and Im desperate try sanctic for hammerhand.

I kinda agree on the soul grinder, but tbh its pretty cheap for a deep striking shrouded av13 walker so its not points wasted.

Keeping the sorcerors with the spawn is probably a nice plan. All your psychic powers are short range, so hanging back with cultists won't achieve much.

The soulgrinder isn't wasted points, but I figure a third mauler might be a better plan; between spawn and maulerfiends, your plan essentially has to be leaving your opponent screaming "what the hell do I shoot at? So much stuff!!!! Aaaarg!" - in some ways, removing a potential target from the equation is helping him...

I think I'm sold. an extra mauler lets me keep the horrors at 3 WC and gives me two jump packs and one extra mastery level on the sorcerors.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Ok same basic idea in two detatchments. The tzeentch herald gives me better summoning options (hopefully a free lord of change/keeper of secrets) the greater reward will almost certainly be a portal glyph.

Blood crushers are not as good as 5 spawn by a long way, but at least they get a khorne icon
