Second game with the new dark eldar, and first with some Coven supplement units! The chaos space marine Alpha Legion face off in the barren wastelands of Pantheon Prime. When Contact is lost, only pain and suffering remain.

This game was awesome - It was a close one! And Matts army is gorgeous, as always.

Great game. How do you think a max unit of Grots with a Haemy would do dropping in with a WWP? The Pain Engines seemed like they did a lot of work for you, are they typically that good? I ask because I've always played a Kabal army, and now I'm interested in giving Covens a shot.

@Homeskillet - I dont think I would like it, unless I had an autarch or something that could almost guarantee my reserves arriving. That many points is not something you want to waste. The pain engines have been great! I Have used them in three games so far, and in three games... they have murdered everything.... they are super tough.
I would not play covens as a stand alone detachment, they need support IMO.

Awesome, thanks for the tip. Better off maybe running 4 grots with a Haemy in a raider and starting on the board then I assume? Or don't you think grots will be worthwhile in the new book?

I've been putting some lists together, and I gotta say I'm pumped to play the new DE! I may ally Eldar and run an Autarch with some Reavers and try my 10-Grot idea though...

Thanks for the comments! I like the grots starting on the table, they are tough and you want your opponent to worry about them. I LOVE grotz in the new book.
I think Dark Eldar work best when used with the Eldar, some reserve shennanigans with the autarch will also be of great use!

Good report skari. i think your speed and redeployment were very useful, though you got pretty luck the mauler fiend was so bad. overall i'd say that it was a good come from behind win.
