I don't like the existing Mechanicus models so I want to convert some better looking ones. I don't know a good basis for the model though and want to go for this sort of look:

Looking exactly like the forge mirmidons

The FW myrmidons are far too bulky for my purposes. What I am going for is a smaller thinner figure with most of his body and implants disguised by ill fitting robes.

The necretex model and Horatio are probably what you're looking for

"Got you, Yugi! Your Rubric Marines can't fall back because I have declared the tertiary kaptaris ka'tah stance two, after the secondary dacatarai ka'tah last turn!"

"So you think, Kaiba! I declared my Thousand Sons the cult of Duplicity, which means all my psykers have access to the Sorcerous Facade power! Furthermore I will spend 8 Cabal Points to invoke Cabbalistic Focus, causing the rubrics to appear behind your custodes! The Vengeance for the Wronged and Sorcerous Fullisade stratagems along with the Malefic Maelstrom infernal pact evoked earlier in the command phase allows me to double their firepower, letting me wound on 2s and 3s!"

"you think it is you who has gotten me, yugi, but it is I who have gotten you! I declare the ever-vigilant stratagem to attack your rubrics with my custodes' ranged weapons, which with the new codex are now DAMAGE 2!!"

"...which leads you straight into my trap, Kaiba, you see I now declare the stratagem Implacable Automata, reducing all damage from your attacks by 1 and triggering my All is Dust special rule!"

Some of them look pretty good, but they fall victim to my current issues with the Mechanicus models, which is very visible faces. Will think about it though but looking for something I can build off of GW stuff (for proper scaling.)

The necretex model I have has no visible face beneath his hood. They are perfectly scaled with GW models.

Well, he's got like a Darth Sideous chin. That's about it.

Though for my Techpriest Auxilia, I used Dark Angels veterans with green stuffed cloth shoulders. I carved out the power armored faces and replaced them with tech bits. They came out very similar to the GW techpriest.

Thanks for the help but I don't really like the style of the Necretex. The DA thing could work but I am looking for a very thin and emaciated figure, which I felt the Tech Priest and DA was not.

These guys with a little conversion could work:

You'd need to sculpt over some faces, but they have thin and robes checked.
