Hey All!

So again another rousing blog from your favorite heretic! This time it's terrain! Yea i know three blogs but my last blog became too disjunct and well it had too much going on so im gonna keep things seperate this go around.

Goals for this blog are building an alien jungle board, build a desert board, build a city board, build a industrial/under hive board and build an alpine forest board. Another Ambitous Idea I have is doing a venice but 40k style. other famous cities that come to mind are stalingrad, gettysburg and berlin and doing the beach of normandy. Mind you this would all be 40k a fied.

So first order of business is getting the boards to start the jungle. Which I'll be doing today. So Sit back relax and enjoy the show. any questions comments or ideas are always welcome.

Quite an ambitious project indeed

What kind of size are you thinking of for the boards? Are they going to be more diorama-scale (like those 'army-on-parade'-ones that pop up every once in a while), or big enough to actually play games on?
I personally would love to see a giant alpine mountain range/forest (and not just because I would shamelessly steal some of those ideas), but I think Venice 40k would look better on a smaller scale

They will all be playable boards. Ranging from 4x4 to a massive 12x12. But the alien jungle board will be a modest 6x4.

Some ideas for the alien jungle world.

Make about six or seven "forests" with fake fish plants.
One or two scratch built "forests"
Mud hut villages
Watchtower
some big dead critter...
quick sand
ancient temple
river
narrow rope bridge
a huge ass mushroom

So things got hectic...but the alien world is back on track...I made some progress today in the form of making bases for some area terrain. I'll show that all off when it stops raining or tomorrow.

I need to finish these stinking gun barrels, so I can slap some paint on a model and get them on the table. Can't wait to put them on your terrain!
