Base size definitely needs to be much larger, and the model may need bulking out some. It's OK to use the old smaller broadsides but when converting you ideally need to aim for roughly the same profile as the current model, and definitely the correct base size for the current model. Looking at my crisis suits and broadside I'd say the broadside has roughly double the body mass of a crisis.
