Has anyone used Fire Barrels on their vehicles? How well do they work? Are they worth their cost?

I am thinking of putting them on my LRBT and Chimeras. I dont think I need them on the Taurux, since they have 3 access points.

Thanks

Chimeras should be kept cheap. You don't need to waste points on fire barrels.

If your Leman Russ is getting assaulted then you are doing it wrong.

What do access points have to do with fire barrels?

well, if the Chimera is assaulted, its usually against the hatch at the back, thus blocking any troops from exiting. The Taurux has 3 hatches, so it is harder to assault all three, so troops can still exit. The fire barrels on the Chimera, I am guessing, would help keep the hatch accessible.

I would take them on my LRBT because I dont usually have a "meat shield" around them.

Unless they they surrounded the entire tank you can get out using an emergency disembark if the access point is blocked
