Hey everyone!
Long time lurker on occasion, decided to sign up.
I've been playing HeroQuest sice 2011, when I rediscovered it, and got interested in painting the minis that come with the game. Got hooked on the game and painting, and it all escalated from there.
Bought GW models to add monsters to my HQ game, such as Skaven clanrats, Ogre battallion, Beastmen, and some odd secondhand GW stuff here and there.
I buy mini's a lot faster than I can paint them, but if you're interested, here's my gallery. (scroll right from there)

I joined Ye Olde Inn shortly after acquiring my secondhand HQ game, and pratically lived there ever since as the resident Orcish bard. (I play the trumpet, errrr, warhorn!) I've since become a moderator there, and a frequent blogger at the Y.O.I. blog.

I'm also a boardgamer (not a wargamer), and I play Zombicide, Mice & Mystics, D&D boardgames, and other themed coop games such as Elder Sign, Betrayal at House on the Hill etc. I spend too much time on BGG.com as well.

Love your orc emoticons!

Wow, someone who has recently came into games workshop via HeroQuest has to be pretty rare! Heroquest was a turning point in my life, the TV advert started this mad "hobby" business when i was a child!

If HQ is literally your only experience with GW games your in for a treat, they have made several other similar board games over the years and Advanced HQ and a full Roleplaying system.

Not so mention several smaller scale Skirmish sized games like Blood Bowl and Necromunda that are just amazing to play if you want something kinda between boardgames and wargames.

Build a man a fire and he will be warm for just one day, set a man on fire and he will be warm for the rest of his life.

There is not this idea.

Hello and welcome! Hero Quest was the first GW game I ever played, except that I didn't even know that it was one at the time.

Hi,

Welcome to Dakka
