For the last month or so, my productivity has been right down compared to the start of the year, and I've not I overly happy with what I have got done. Last night I think figured out why: it's not that I'm painting worse than I used to, so much as I don't feel I'm improving as much as I could be. I have come to know what I am capable of, got into the habit of it, and I'm not sure where to go next. So I turn to Dakka, for advice on where I focus on getting better.

Here are some of my recent works I'm most pleased with, so form the baseline I want to expand from.

Hopefully that gives you an idea of where I'm at. In there you can see basically the full range of what I know I can do (weathering, simple osl, basic NMM, layering, bit of wet blending), what I'm looking for is pointers on where to go from there, particularly without compromising my own style of keeping things dark and gritty.

Any thoughts appreciated, and don't be afraid to be honest about criticism!

Thanks in advance!
