Ok so there is a GT next month and I am wondering if this is good enough. I am playing vs a Decurion tonight... ugg...

I am torn between a few lists but this is what I am trying tonight.

Is this a solid TAC list?

I like it, the only thing that I like, but feels kinda out of place are the combi-meltas on the sternguard, the HF are IMO the best heavy option for those guys, but because they can't split fire, that might mean a turn in witch the expensive HF can't fire.

Is the pod on the devastators just for an extra empty mod, I like it just so you can have an odd number of pods, but I am assuming you won't use the devs in the mod.

Where does Lysander go? I would assume with the sternguards (thats why theres only 8) but I sterguard are really strong shooting units, and lysander is only good for CC. I think a libby would work better (termi armour, bones of osrak) for a few less points but YMMV

Grav guns on the cents? I have only used them with lascannons once and didnt really like it but the range was nice, but again YMMV

I second the idea of the heavy flamers only on the Sternguard. You have a lot of other tank-busting firepower, so they can really do well without them IMO.

I like the devs and dev cents, a good mix and survivable. Tank Hunter will help them a lot.

I think if you're going to take Lysander though, it should be with a command squad in a drop pod (for the apothecary, and melta bombs on them, along with grav for when they land and overwatch?) and go MC hunting. Perhaps replace your sternguar with this? I use a melta command squad with him, but you have so much melta already, I think grav would be better and really help you get a jump on some MCs. I would NOT drop him first turn though. Use him turn 2 (hopefully) to sandwich a Riptide or sometihng and apply pressure.

Hmm well I was thinking the meltas and h flamers were good to have for different types of targets.

The problem I have had with a libo in the stern is once they drop and kill something they get shot/assaulted and die. Lysander is such a big deference and can tank wounds hard.

Yes the empty pod is so I can have 5. The devs will be on the ground.

Could you drop the cents?

I second the command squad for Lysander. He is such a beast with FnP (ran this at Adepticon and he smashed face all weekend). I'd definitely say drop him turn one though, he is so many points that you need to have him in combat asap.

For the list, I would have two plasma squads and one melta squad. Two S7 shots is better against MCs and troops than 1 S8 shot, and you already have a lot of tank busting options. I'd also lose the melta bombs, they've never really worked for me. But that may just be me.

Last note I would have is to go for grav on the cents, just to fill a different role.
