Only weakness (and it is a big one) is that the author implicitly equates the state of Warhammer Fantasy with the state of
GW. I don't think that he's wrong about much with WFB, and I don't think that he's wrong about much with
GW, but he leaves out almost entirely WFB's bigger, more successful sibling, which I think is the most confusing part of the story.
For example, if
GW just decided to kill off a long-standing Fantasy IP and roll out some new one, that would be one thing. But to do so while simultaneously exploring and developing previously untapped parts of another IP (see Codex Skitarii) just seems schizophrenic.
