Please keep in mind this is a very expensive way to use him and will realistically only work in an unbound army.

Morkanaut + 2 Battle Wagonz with 4 big shootas each and maybe a kannon or a Lobba. + 2 15 Boy Loota squads.

Lootas hop in the battle wagonz and the Morkanaut positions itself in between the two of them and faces their Front armor out to create HUGE Armored prow with lots of AV14 and AV13 showing. The 5++ covers both wagonz nicely and if you really need it you can put some boyz in front to soak up any crazy bugger who tries to charge, and they to benefit from the 5++ for the most part.

Basically what your doing is creating a giant armored Gun line. Depending on rolls you should average around 60 S7 Ap4 shots, 30 S5 Ap5 Shots, 2 Lobba/kannon shots, 1 KMK shot, and if the enemy is close enough 2 rokkitz and a KMB shot EACH turn. You could also change out 24 of the S5 AP5 shots to be 8 Rokkit shotz but they are wicked short range and realistically if an enemy gets that close to you then you can just either focus fire it to death or have morky go after it with his Init 2 S10Ap1 DCCW

Remove the big shootas from the battlewagons. You'll get more value from Rokkits.

Also, the more realistic way would be to use a dual CAD. Orks suck in unbound as orks are REALLY underpowered compared to some of the other stuff opponents can bring.

Also, if you give your Lootas a Mega Armored Warboss to lead them, then the battlewagons can move and they can shoot (non-snapfiring).

15 Tankbusters are REALLY good at the moment. They might be something you want to look into as with unbound you'll typically be facing off against lots of high strength monstrous creatures and vehicles, both of which Tankbusters excel at taking out.

30 Orks by Foot.
17-20 in a Battlewagon.
12 in a Trukk.

Rokkitz are better but like I Said with the lootas in the back you want to fire from a distance and not close range unless you ABSOLUTELY have to. You will realistically get more bang for your buck out of a couple of big shootas firing pot shots then getting close enough to a unit to fire off 4 rokkitz at.

The Mega armor warboss/ big mek is a good idea I have used a few times, but its meh in this situation because it only allows the BW to move 6 inches without the occupants snap firing, if it goes over 6 the Lootas HAVE to snap fire regardless.

If the MA Warboss goes with the lootas then they all gain slow and purposeful, meaning the lootas DON'T have to snap fire unless they're aiming at the sky.

Someone on dakkadakka a few months ago put out the maths for Rokkits vs. Big Shootas. Rokkits are always better as you have a better chance of actually dealing solid damage with AP3, rather than something with AP5.

At the end of the day, it entirely depends on how you're going to run the rest of your list. But then you would be better putting that in the list area.

The Vehicle rules section specifically states if a vehicle moves more then 6 inches all the occupants HAVE TO SNAP FIRE. MA confers slow and purposeful but that doesn't negate the Transport rules.

Why not just take 2 times more lootas? Or a Landing pad for 230 less points than a naught for better invul and indestructibility?

Naught's use is to march alongside your army providing 5++ for your advancing forces, be huge, durable and dangerous both at range and in mellee. A mini-stompa, all in all. That's in theory. In reality it's use is to display your painting skills and than roll a bunch of 6+ armorsaves for boyz around it when the naught inevitably explodes. You don't get to roll 6+ armor too often, do you? So, GW provides you with naughts so you can feel better about 6+ armor!

Ghazkull he's referring to the fact that without a MA IC you can't move at all. With them you can move up to 6" power turn.

Yup, Just my two cents, it was a good tactic because my opponent (Chaos) got fed up with me having av 14 and 13 facing him (especially after i blew up his pred annihilator) so he tried assaulting me and .....yeah i blew him away with Morkanauts attacks and then after morky went poof i got to spend another turn shooting his Chaos marines off the table. Ork gun line was fun
