Has there been any recent rumors related to the Legion of the Damned becoming an independent army.

No recent rumors, but good news! They became an independent army a little over a year ago.

Or bad news if you liked them as part of the basic SM codex. The fact that they have their own “codex” makes me worry about them being dropped. We can hope that like the scions, they can keep their own book while being a unit in another.

Hilariously you could not use Legion as an independent army without non Legion detachments even after the codex.
