So now that I have my new Necron codex, I want them to come out with the second installment of the Altar of War book. There were a ton of cool missions in there for the first half of the factions, but I want my Necron ones. I feel like since 7th edition, GW either forgot about it, or they don't plan on releasing another book. This saddens me, as I would buy it in a heartbeat. But it appears that mini-dexes and updating existing factions (not even the ones that really need it) is a priority as of now. Anyone else feel the same?

I can sympathize. I didn't buy the Alter of War book, but I desperately wanted to because I felt it was a fantastic product.

The reason I didn't... I knew in the back of my mind that it would be useless after an edition change. I didn't purchase Stronghold Assault or Escalation for the same reason.

I now, very carefully, consider all of my GW purchases. I've been bitten one to many times by GW's whimsical product releases.

In the mean time, try and track down the 4/5th edition Battle Missions book. The missions in there cover every faction except the newly introduced ones, and have plenty of cool and thematic setups that should work straight from the book.

Yeah, as a Xenos player, I could give a rats behind about all these new Imperium factions and releases. I wish GW would do more stuff like an Updated Battle Missions book, more scenarios, heck even more supplements. I would totally buy into that stuff.

I have the Battle Missions book, and while some of them are cool, a lot of them seem bland or one-sided.
