A friend of mine has been working on a points cost system for the Warscrolls that GW released last week. The file does not include every faction just yet, but most of the main offenders have been dealt with. He used a fairly complex formula, taking the unit's average damage output, its sturdiness, and the power level of its various abilities, into effect. I've then formatted the front sheet to be easily legible.
