Hey guys,
I've been following DakkaDakka for a while, but never joined or discussed anything until now.
I recently got a TAU army of Ebay, so I'm super excited to drop it on the battlefield. But first, I would like to finish it (I added some extra units) and to paint it to 'tron' style color scheme. I know, nothing special, but I also wrote some lore, that would fit into the army colors.
I started playing 40K actively 2 years ago, but I have been in gaming world since highschool. I also showed a lot of interest in model and terrain making and assembly, so hopefully I will get time to work on some terrain pieces of my own...

Welcome to Dakka, although Im sorry to hear that you chose the wrong race to play (really, Tau?). You really should've chosen Nidz, theyre the master race. Naahh Im just kidding, I actually believe all the races are pretty well balanced, and Im a firm believer in that not one race is better than another.
Im sorta new to w40k too (been into it since about 2 years ago and I play alot on Vassal, but I only have like 700 points of nidz), and ive been getting my models off of ebay too, cuz us poor chumps cant afford GW retail...
Anyways have fun with your Tau army, go win some tournaments or paint god tier armies, whatever floats your boat, and have fun on Dakkadakka, its a real nice community and there are plenty of veterans on this site to help us lesser wargamers with painting, modelliing, tactics, etc.

Welcome to the forums. We've got a nice chunk of everything here, and it's easy to learn the ropes of the place. Mods are fair, and also pretty quick to react, which can be good or bad, depends on how you look at it.

I'm currently working with one of the greats, Fio’O Ke’lshan Sho’Aun, developing new armor plates (color scheme) for my Cadre.
This time next week, I will make a small showcase of current troops in 6th SkyLight Cadre and proposed XV-109 style armor plates, know for its use on Y'vahra suits.

As promised, here is the 6th Ke'lshan SkyLight Patrol Cadre, ready to enter long planned overhaul. I will post more pictures as I make progress.
Have in mind that this is only 70% of available forces. Pathfinder and Stealth teams, multiple Piranhas, Sniper teams and XV-9 suits await assembly. (and maybe more Forge World )
