I have a friend that is playing daemons with a Khore daemonkin allied detachment and giving demonic rewards to his D-thirster.

I don't see anything in the Khorne daemonkin codex about the new thirsters having the option to take on demonic gifts, nor do demonic rewards exist in the Khorne codex to my knowledge. However, it's clear that the basic bloodthirster from the daemon codex can take rewards. White Dwarf issue #57 says that they may take up to 100pts of demonic rewards, but this only a dataslate that applies to Age of Sigmar, correct?

I believe this is an easy answer, but I need an unbiased opinion. You make da call.

I'm assuming you are talking about the Lesser, Greater, Exalted. They are allowed to be taken (via the WD) by Codex: Daemons but not by Daemonkin.

Codex: Khorne Daemonkin uses the unit entry found in its codex which has no Rewards available.

Codex: Chaos Daemons use the Dataslate in White Dwarf #60 which has 50pts of Rewards available.

(Also, the Fantasy dataslate in WD #57 is for WHFB, not Age of Sigmar)

I appreciate the feedback. I was not aware of WD #60. That makes all the difference. Thanks.

The rewards are why Daemons do it so much better. A 2 and a 3 on the greater rewards chart make for a very durable BT.

Of course daemons have the grimoire and cursed earth as well, for rerollable 2++ and 4+ fnp stupidity! On a BT of insensate rage !
