Soooo I was reading over the lore summary AOS on heresy online and this part caught my attention.
In the midst of battle across the Mortal Realms, the mightest of Human, Orruk, Aelf and Duardin kind were transported away in a flash of lightning, for a greater cause than defiant suicide against the Chaotic hordes awaited them. Each of these mighty warriors, be they veteran or youngling, found themselves standing in Sigmaron, the Palace Among The Stars, where their trials were about to begin. In Heldenhall, the Hall of Heroes, each man and woman feasted for three days and three nights to build their strength for the hardship to come. In the Chamber of the Broken World barbarian and technocratic nomad were blasted apart by lightning over and over, that they made be reforged in a process that could last anywhere from a few heartbeats to centuries of agony for even time itself turned molten in the Forge Eternal. Not all would survive this process. Seven times seven are the Cairns of Tempering, where the body and soul of each warrior were blended with the Gifts of the Gods that would make them something never before seen in either The World That Was or the Mortal Realms, and to ready them for the final trial. Upon the Anvil of the Apotheosis were these warriors wrought into a new form, enduring the shockwaves from the last blessings of the World Hammer, each soldier awoke with a portion of the God-King's won power, the energies of the celestial heavens crackling through their very souls. And with this final step, the time had come for humanity to strike back. Vengeance had come.
So I can have orc storm cast eternals? Elven storm cast eternals or even dwarves? I even recall elves being turned into vampires in end times. Conversion module engaged!
Orc stormcast that would be a sight to see.

Well, this part here says something pretty bizarre - orcs, elves and dwarves alike were changed into... humans! They have gained a new form. Which supports the new models where all of the stormcast look like human male space marines. I haven't read the novels, so I don't know if female stormcast appeared there, but as it is now it seems that Sigmar literally turned them all into humans (superhuman, but still human) and used them in war against Chaos.
[...] the time had come for humanity to strike back.

Orcs turned into humans? Weak.
I guess orcs don't really fit well into the "emotionless mask" aesthetic, though.

Stormcast Eternals also have their memories partially wiped, they're different people after their Reforging, they can vaguely recall their previous life, but they are different people, with different names, and different bodies. It's a big part of Vandus Hammerhand's character in Gates of Azyr, I'd recommend it.

Proof that Siggy isn't the Emperor?

Maybe he's yet to get prejudiced? You know, before the Emperor decided that all aliens are to be exterminated, even if they're not bad, because that threatened his vision of united mankind during the great crusade.

They really aren't humans, they are more like 9 foot tall angels in the flesh wearing armor. That's why they can teleport and are immortal (if killed they just go back to their realm, similar to daemons).
So basically they are the fantasy version of space marines, only turned into super warriors through magic instead of genes and organs. So yup, they are the angels of this game.
