I built an "infinity box" to photograph my completed mini painting projects. Here's my completed minotaur. I think if I had to do it all over again I would go for iron on his armor rather than brass, but oh well. Happy with him overall. Any criticism welcome. Thanks for looking!

I really like the color tone that brass armor gave him. Looks like you've put some great deal of effort into the mini, so it's a pity you didn't straighten the weapon's handle. Also, the lack of details on his face contrasts with the otherwise detailed rest of the miniature. Some moldlines are left too and that can screw even the best painted models. It sure looks great overall though and will look even better on the table!

PS: i love the base

Thanks for the tips! I realized after I was done that I hadn't paid enough attention to the face :(. I'll be sure to do so next time. I futzed with trying to straighten the staff, but the Bones stuff doesn't seem to do too well with that. Or rather, my attempts to do so didn't do well, I guess next time I'll have to try more methods and see if I can do better.

Just adding my 2cents here:
1. the face does look a little underdefined (as kahnawake said), but not too underdefined. I wouldn't go overboard repainting anything, just try adding some highlights to the raised portions (nose, brows, cheekbones, etc) and see how it looks.
2. Was the staff supposed to be straight? It seemed natural to me the way it was (like a gnarlwood elm, or perhaps the haft of a scythe). I wouldn't have thought to straighten it myself.
3. cleaning/sanding moldlines on a painted model may seem intimidating, and I wouldn't recommend it
Fortunately, there is often an easier way to go about things: Many times the moldlines only stand out because the wash collects in the recess of the moldline. If you simply paint over the moldline with the base color (e.g., the white of the horns) then the "shadow" of the wash in the recess won't stand out, and the moldlines will be more or less invisible from tabletop distance.

One of my biggest faults is an impatience to get started. I never even thought to check for and remove mold lines, and my old eyes (which used to be 20/20 but have dropped to crap for close-in stuff since I hit 50) barely noticed them until you guys started talking about them. Another thing on the list of things to check before I speed off into a job .
