Hello! my friends and i are trying to play necromunda but none of us can afford the originall metal models. we have been trying to find good sources of bits for the different gangs so far we have...
wych bits for echer.
catachan dude bits for goliaths.
for the redemptionist we will probably use a mix of chaos cultist and empire flagellants.
for the ratskins we dont know what we will use.
for the hive spryers we will use eldar bits.
we dont know what to use for orlocks.
for adeptus arbites we will use scouts with maximini heads .
we have no clue what works for the van sarr.
we are using some 3rd party miniatures for delaques. im pretty sure there called heresyfigures.
probobly chaos cultists and empire bits just like redemptionists.
we have no idea what we are using for scavvies
we dont know what for pit slaves but we think we will use lots of killa kan klaws.
for ahs waste nomads a mixture of steel legion guard and Green stuff.
i cant even find a good picture of the vampires so i have no idea what to use for them.
If you know any good places for bits for any of the gangs that i havent already listed i would love to hear them!

Use catachan command kits combined with normal catachan kits to make Orlocks.
Catachan parts also work well for pit slaves when you add the claws and what not.
Scavvies can be cultists with green stuff.
Van Saars can be done with Cadian stuff.
That is all I got for now, happy Necromunda!

Chaos Marauders make better goliaths than the catachans in my opinion ( I just made some)
The catachan command squad has a lot of great bits
I also used some scouts for Arbites and they came out really good.

Have a look at the Wargames Factory Apocalypse Survivor figures as well.

"But me no buts! Our comrades get hurt. Our friends die. Falkenburg is a knight who swore an oath to serve the church and to defend the weak. He'd be the first to tell you to stop puling and start planning. Because what we are doing-at risk to ourselves-is what we have sworn to do. The West relies on us. It is a risk we take with pride. It is an oath we honour. Even when some soft southern burgher mutters about us, we know the reason he sleeps soft and comfortable, why his wife is able to complain about the price of cabbages as her most serious problem and why his children dare to throw dung and yell "Knot" when we pass. It's because we are what we are. For all our faults we stand for law and light.

Anything with a great coat and a gas mask will do for Delaque.
There's gotta be some WWI infantry minis out there that could be converted. Or if there's such a thing as cheap steel legion guard minis that'd work.
I made some masks for Cawdor with tiny bits of cut paper. It's easy. Take any robed figure and add a little paper mask and bobs your Cawdor.
I also used a squad of Tallarn guards for Cawdor. They don't look a thing like the original Necromunda figs but they have their own religious styling so it think it works. But they're prob just as expensive to source.
I mean really it's up to you what your gang looks like. See what's out there that you like the style of and call them whatever gang you like the rules for. Players can't object much unless the WYSIWYG rule is being way stretched.

I was looking into the wargames factory "shock troops" in the Evil Suns department of their store for use as something. I found them to be a little too uniform for my visions of what a gang would look like but your mileage may vary.
$21 for 18 minis is a great price but you'll have to find some weapons for the more exotic loadouts.

I use the shock troops as enforcers myself, not as a gang though but as an occasional "event".
