Hello everyone. I just wanted to ask the Battlefleet Gothic players what you use to safely transport your models to game stores, tournaments, and friends houses?

"Khorne is a noble warrior who respects strength and bravery, who takes no joy in destroying the weak, and considers the helpless unworthy of his wrath. It is said that fate will spare any brave warrior who calls upon Khorne's name and pledges his soul to the blood god. It is also said that Khorne's daemons will hunt down and destroy any warrior who betrays his honour by killing a helpless innocent or murdering in cold blood..."

I just use a case with foam layers, metal ones on the bottom and the plastic ones on top.

Do you ever have trouble with the plastic bases snapping off? I have recently had the bases snap from my Emperor class battleship and my Space Marine Battle Barge as well as a few smaller ones. Is there a trick to transporting them so this doesn't happen? I've been laying them on their sides.

The metal ships especially will snap the pins off the bases. Your best bet is to take a pin vice drill (or a dremmel if you really trust yourself) and bore the hole out so that it can accept the non-pin part of the base. Alternatly get a piece of brass or steel rod and make your own base. Those little pins just never last, and even if you superglue it, it will just break eventually.

Thanks for the advice. I guess its time to get some brass rod.

What he said if You use a big pin, you don't even have to glue the base to the ship so you can store the bases elsewhere.
Or you could magnetize the ships, with the bigger metal ones this could be difficult though.
