TBH Inaho was a bland character anyways, so it wouldn't be that big a deal if he was replaced. He was just your typical blank slate main character, having Slaine would be more entertaining. But I doubt they're actually dead.
Just watched Ep. 12 of Aldnoah. That... that was not how I was expecting that to end. Here's hoping the next half is Slaine actually doing stuff though.
Have you guys not been watching Captain Earth? I've been enjoying the hell out of that one. Sad to see it ending.
Oh well, I think October will see the return of Buddy Complex and not one, but TWO Gundam shows, and the continuation of Log Horizon. Hopefully Yowamushi Pedal's second season will start soon, too.

Shame they didn't continue the series in anime form, the manga is amazing and the story just gets better imo though I haven't followed it for a couple years. I got sold on anime under false pretenses by being introduced with Berserk hehe as there's been nothing close to it since, and I do try all the "darker" animes I find. I haven't watched the remake of Berserk as despite being higher quality animation and what not, it's still just the same series I think? I really liked the original voice actors for Berserk too. The new ones seemed ok but once you're used to a characters voice to have it change is hard to accept.

Last episode definitely pulled Aldnoah.Zero to the top of the summer season food chain for me.
Originally it was between Aldnoah.Zero and Zankyou no Terror but this latest episode definitely changed that.
Inaho was basically kicking the ass of everyone he ran into, which is totally awesome but lets face it, that gets old really fast. It's impressive and cool, but it makes for bland character. The one thing that left a hint of interest for him are his curious interactions with the princess and Slaine.
Who knows what might happen now, but this could open the door for Slaine to be a much more interesting character (I found him rather boring). The war is likely still waging, and now there's a wild card in play with an Aldnoah powered Kat that he can activate it somehow. So who is Slaine's enemy? Terrans? Vers? Everyone?

Being really competent does not make a character a blank slate. It can however make conflicts boring, which it did... For a while.
As for Inaho kicking the ass of everyone he ran into with his kewl plans, that hasn't been the case since what? Episode six? He would have been unceremoniously killed by Femienne had Slaine not showed up to bail him out. He didn't take a big role in any battles until Saazbaum's assault, and even then his first big plan went to gak because Saazbaum made a direct assault on the Deucalion. He managed to beat Saazbaum when they actually fought (Using what he learned from all his prior battles), but for the first half of the fight he was being dominated. I get where that train of thought comes from, and it was one of my biggest problems with the series at first, but, I don't think it really applies as much now.
Don't get me wrong, I don't like Inaho nearly as much as Princess Asseylum, Slaine, or Saazbaum, but he isn't exactly your standard anime protagonist.
Also, being Slaine really is suffering.

I don't know, I feel Inaho is a modern design of a character. Calculating, analytical, noticeable lack of emotions. House, Sherlock for instance. Even though they have certain merit, I simply do no feel any appeal for them. I've lost interest in Inaho after the first episode. It was really the schism and mystery of technology that kept me tuned. OST (big round of applause) and animation also deserves a praise, simply wonderful, the final act peaked my interest more than I anticipated and I am definitely interested what shall happen to Slaine, the decisions he will made shall have long reached consequences. Though I suspect he shall not made immediate appearance in the second act, perhaps there will be a time leap and we're going to see certain consequences the old players did with new ones playing bearing it.

While I know some people utterly loathe dubs (and often rightly so), many dubs don't get due credit. A lot of the anime's on Adult Swim imo have superb dubs, and if anything I think the English versions of Hellsing are superior to the Japanese ones. I'd also throw up Gurren Lagan as a series where the English voice actors did a much better job portraying their characters than their Japanese counterparts.

Depends. In my experience most voice actors for male characters sound like 8-12 year olds OR big deep voiced guys in their 30-40s. There seems to be almost no middle ground.
I think its impossible for them to cast the right voice pitch for a younger man who has actually hit puberty.

And this is why they hired an actual 12 year old boy to voice Aang in Last Airbender. As Aang grew,so did his VA, so you go from lispy squeaky voiced kid to young man hitting the beginnings of serious puberty right along with the character in the show.
GENERATION 8: The first time you see this, copy and paste it into your sig and add 1 to the number after generation. Consider it a social experiment.

This. With Sherlock and House it's a bit different, they actually have character underneath that gets revealed in little bits throughout a long period of time. Inaho hasn't had enough time. All we've gotten so far is a calculator with a bit of goodness in him. If I had to guess that's all were gonna get. Don't get me wrong he has some nice qualities, like staying calm under pressure and the ability to think logically and not let his emotions get in the way. But that's not very deep, and defnes his character in every episode, very bland and not even realistic.
Well I mean think about Sherlock. What really allows Sherlock to be engaging as a character is Watson. On his own, Sherlock would be annoying or cease to be as incredible as he is. Same with House. These characters function because of their supporting cast, the people they have around them who help us to see how great they are at what they do, as well as provide tension in a story that otherwise lacks tension because he its House. We all know he's going to solve the mystery because he's too good at it (except that one time he didn't).
Inaho is amazing, god of war like even, but his supporting cast is kind of as bland as he is. Not to mention that he's a teenager, and he's that calm and collected which is kind of creepy compared to a mid-life doctor and a professional detective with years of experience.
Not insulting Inaho he's cool. Just saying that there doesn't seem to be much to him, which would make his ability to kick ass boring after awhile.
