I just was curious if an ethereal or fire blade could buff a squad if gun drones.

Yup, it buffs all pulse weapons (with the exception of pulse bombs) so they can buff gun drones and even sniper drones D:

I've actually been considering doing Sniper Drones with and Ethereal, as that's a lot of BS 5 shots, since each would get 3 when in 24.
