Dark Eldar in Regeneration Tube

Hey all, I'm making a campaign for my friends and I but thereare three of us. I've put a few things into it like if you get enough points
you can spend it on certain abilities spacific to each race.

I also can't give good reasons as to why these three races are on this planet. Our armies are; Tau, Dark Eldar and Necrons.

But the bit im having a little trouble with is a nice story that changes depending on who wins or not. It's like i need so any different
contingency plans for what if's.

so my question is in two parts;1 whats a good reason or story that these three races would be fighting over a world/system?

and 2 whats a good means of keeping a nice flow with the different missions?

I hope this is the right place for this kind of question.

Tau colony on the planet.
Necrons are sleeping on the planet.
Dark Eldar come to stop Necrons awakening and/or take the Tau back to Commorragh.

Or perhaps they all arrive looking for an ancient treasure.

The tau could have settled unknowingly on a tomb world, and when Dark Eldar show up for some raids they wake up the crons. I don't know why they would stick around when they wake up sleeping beauty (highly populated area/easy slave capturing?) Maybe their Webway gates were destroyed and now they're stuck in system, fighting until they get a way out? Hope this helps

Its good i hadn't considered Tau already settled on the planet. My mind immediately went to Tau pushing for an expansion for their next sphere.

I need to find a way to tie these into a fluid bunch of missions though. Still struggling on that one.

Somwhere over the rainbow (and under the bed...)

Finish with Large battle point costs determined by completion of objectives.
Each battle has a reason, Deldar are looking into necron teleports to get off planet or tau are trying to wipe out catacombs of necrons.
If they succeed then they get X amount of points (around 250) based on the difficulty of the task. Once all battles are done then add up victory points and make your list for the final game.

Do you want to know what my motto is? Well my motto is quite simple really... "Insert inspirational words here."

So are you saying that the list is for the last couple of rounds would be based of the points you can collect over the course of the campaign?

Tau have come to destroy the Crons as they wake up and steal technology, but Crons being Crons the Tau are fighting to make it off planet and the DEldar are their to capture slaves from those caught routing

At my desk

Once decided to have a game with everyone currently in the building with an army at our shop.

Orks, Chaos Marines, Eldar, Necrons, Tau. Total confusion and destruction followed.

Five different factions on one warzone. Yeah, that planet had problems.

3000pts Blood Angels (4th Company) - 2000pts Skitarii (Voss Prime) - 2500pts Imperial Knights (Unnamed House) - 1000pts Imperial Guard (Household Retainers)

2000pts Free Peoples (Edlynd Fusiliers) - 2000pts Kharadron Overlords (Barak Zilfin) - 500pts Ironweld Arsenal (Edlynd Ironwork Federation) - 1000pts Duardin (Grongrok Powderheads)

Wargaming's no fun when you have a plan!

Well for question one heres an idea.
The tau are fighting the necrons on a world they (the tau) have colonized. And the Dark eldar are there for one or several reasons.

If the D'eldar army is mainly wyche cults then they're there for wyche cult arena "volunteers"
If its mostly kabalite then they are there to balance struggle in the war thus prolonging it and feeding on the ensuing misery.
If its mostly Haemonculus forces then they're there for willing test subjects
A mix of forces is any or all of the above

As for how to balance the games. you could do several missions with the tau and necrons, but then do a few smaller games with the D'eldar
like ambushes and such to symbolize them tipping the balance of power one way or another.

That's a cool way of looking at it. Small raids.

I've been working on it a little and i am currently working on 3 intertwining stories, So Each faction tries to solve it's own problem and so on.

Some ideas are like the necrons are swarming from the catacombs so a tau strike force will try to collapse the tunnel entrances so they can organize a proper force to repel them. OR if they can't succeed in collapsing the tunnels then they may have to evacuate of planet and a mission so see how many civilians they can rescue can be next.

Which is where the Deldar come in to try harvest slaves.

Just the idea of an ever changing campaign really appeals to me. But all suggestions are really helpful and i appreciate them all
