Hi,
I was just looking for a bit of feedback regarding Razorback loadouts.

After a bit of research a lot of people like the las/plas option or the TL ass-cannons. I play Salamanders so I was looking to add the TL Heavy Flamers
Buuuuut the box doesn't come with any, so has anyone got a good recommendation on which bits fit best ? Also if TL Flamers are a good option or should I go with the Heavy Bolters or Lascannons ?

Thank you for any feedback

All options are available either through Forgeworld and/or 3rd parties. Google should give you lots of hits.

Las/Plas is a popular loadout for BA, as they have fast vehicles and can fire both with full BS when moving.
Personally, I like ACs for my Razorbacks, they are pretty versatile.

First, Welcome to Dakka.

If you want HFs, you might also want to look into Sister of Battle Immolator.

But I’d stay away from them. You can’t snap fire templates, it’s not fast, so you are going to putter forward 6” and try to find a target. It can also be hard to get a good angle with the flamer, so you might not catch as many guys under it as you’d like.

TLHB is a good default. Points are low-ish, but it’s not going to add a lot to your army, besides a moderate amount of mid-S dakka.
TLLC has the advantage of being in the kit. And not a bad option. You can generally find something on the table that needs a little lascannon love, TL helps if you need to snap on the move.
TLAsC is another good option. More versatile then the lascannon, shorter range. Not bad for an aggressively played list.
Las/Plas is a lot of firepower. You have a long range pop shot, and the TLPG for shooting troops. It’s flexible, it’s all AP2, it’s tougher (2 separate guns for weapon destroyed results). Hard part is getting them on the model.

to add to this a bit you can also get the infernus razorback which has double melta guns. hes okay in narrow corridor shootouts if your willing to play a heavy terrain map a la cities of death

DA army: 3500pts,
admech army: 600pts
ravenguard: 565 pts

Assault cannon is most useful in most situations. I run Gladius, with Heavy Flamers and Assault Cannon Rzorbacks. Heavy Flamer is great IF it fits your tactics, otherwise keep the HB on cheap ones.

If you wanna run up at the enemy, Assault Cannons.
If you're staying in the back, TL Lascannon.

Forge World sells them, but shipping to Australia might be monumental so it might be best to convert some.

Or have understanding opponents .

It really depends on your list - lacking a specific type of firepower ? Put it on a Razorback

Having said that I'd seriously consider just running Rhinos, and just stick your guns elsewhere.
Razorback turrets are horrendously expensive considering they're on such a fragile chasis

Las-Plas has been a favourite of my local Ultramarine player. Can do stuff reasonably.

The Assault cannon is better placed elsewhere, it's not overly effective on Razorbacks, unless you're using the battle company.

Assault cannons can rend, plasma gets hot.

Nuff said.

TLing takes a lot of the risk out of Gets Hot!

Rending might be nice, but when you compare it to Las/Plas, which easily wounds most things anyway, and is already AP2, is is such a big deal?

I’d have to run the numbers, but I suspect the las/plas is going to be better in the 0-12” and 24”+ range brackets against most targets. Slightly less effective on the move though. Overall, I think they are probably reasonably balanced.

I really like the assault cannon with tactical squads. But with devastator squads I always take the lascannon. It gives you an extra anti-armor shot (two if you also pay for a hunter killer missile) and it gives your squad a poor mans split-fire.

Generally the Las/Plas is the superior choice, though it depends on your army make up.

It's mainly superior due to Ap 2, high strength, and the TL on the plasma gun.

Assault cannons were a lot better when rending happened on the to hit roll. Now it's a bit weaker, I'm not sure I would take it.
