Mmm, well that sux as I have converted 11 high elf archers into cultists for my som. I know some people say no deomons.I thought the black and white paint scheme was gonna be the biggest headache it seems that is the least of my troubles.

Oh, no no no. Cult troops is stuff like Khorne Berserkers or Plaugebearers. Cultists are something else entirely and fine. If you want to get real fancy the SoM are really big into slaves, so you could make slave groups as your cultists.

Also demons are fine maybe, but also as slaves, bound (not literally) and maybe wearing SoM colors.

Thanks for that, well I converted them using skitari ranger heads and gave them robes from green stuff, I figured skitari is propably not a very tasty meal for the som plus they have cultisty looking faces.ones I have them painted up will be posting pics in my som thread.

Here is a summary of characters that I have managed to find in various sources (none as far as I know is fan fluff)

Kaled draak - chapter master
Brother Invictus - became the 11th Doomed One.
Kathal- Captain of the 1st Company of the Sons of Malice,

in the Warhammer anthology Ignorant Armies, there is also a reference to an unnamed albino Malal Chaos Champion and his warband roaming the Chaos Wastes

The renegade Ogre Skrag the Slaughterer was introduced as a follower of Malal. A short background story told his story as being cast out from his tribe for stealing a "starmetal" axe, with Malal subsequently guiding Skrag to a Chaos Dwarf hold, forcing them to forge him an armor and then slaughtering them all in the name of Malal.
The card game Chaos Marauders published in 1987 featured the "Claws of Malal" card. The unit represented in the game by this card was a warband of Beastmen eager to fight, preferably against followers of the other Chaos Gods.

Okay I'm going to sound SUPER CRAZY right now but...

What about using Grey Knights? You have at your disposal space marines, with magic powers (obviously it's actually warp taint) a hatred for chaos (hence malal just wanting to mess with his four bros) take allies as come the apocalypse from Daemons (they are simply your slaves after all) dreadknight rules can be used for the defiler, and all the rest of the things that are "good" in the chaos army are forge world anyways and easily available to grey knights as well. If you want cultists consider taking AM allies or inquisition with acolytes

But do I need to use gk models? Cause I have converted 5 old chaos warriors (fantasy) to 40K and bought 6 csm. That's my first unit of 11 guys , the number 11 is important to them. Then I have the 11 cultists, I already have 5 raptors and is planning to get another box of raptors and scratchbuilding the champion for the raptors so they are 11 too, I know the max is 10 per unit of raptors. Then I have 11 of the OLD beastmen(fantasy) that I'm planning on converting to a warband of beastmen/cultists. Want to end up with 11 units of 11 guys at the end (excluding characters)

O ya, the reason I'm going with som is cause I've got a goff ork army I'm working on too, so I have two armies at my disposal and I wanna run the som as allied with the goff orks. The black and white paint scheme of the two armies really look nice together.

What about them fighting in silence? It makes theyr enemies feel uneasy. Is there a special rule or something to show this? And kaleb draak has a deomon axe.
