I know there are multiple websites that offer mud scenics, but I'm just looking to see if there are any other ways to do so.

Have you had experience with the GW mud texture? how did that go?

I have a 'realistic water' bottle and I'm planning on making sludgy battlefield bases filled with puddles, so I'm going for a veryyyy damp look.

I have some of the stirland mud texture from GW, it is quite good.

It is more dirt than mud, but it definitely works;

That is a joke tutorial, but it gives the best view of stirland mud in action

If your flag is correct and you are in Aus, look at picking up some Jo Sonja's texture paste.

Paint it brown, add some water effects/gloss varnish and it comes up awesome.

Pic might be a bit hard to see (though worth including)

If you're looking to muddy up your vehicles without going for an over the top look, try Typhus Corrosion.

Most people in the comuunity I know use brown coloured pigments or pastels in acyrilic resin to make wet mud.

On vehicles, a wash of Typhus Corrosion followed by a drybrush of XV-88 gives a result pleasing to my old eyes.

I like 1 part black paint, 5 brown, add talcum(baby) powder.
