New episodes. Look below the video at the comments. The first post is from Adult Swim saying that "Creator and executive producer Genndy Tartakovsky continues the epic story with a new season."

Tartakovsky has been trying to continue the series ever since it was not renewed, and Adult Swim recent (like a few months ago) reran the entire series. Guess it did well enough to warrant new episodes

This is great! Nice to see some old classics that were left undone to come back, Samurai Jack in particular was one of my favourites, the art style is great, heck its no coincidence that I prefer the Clone Wars cartoon series made in 2003 over the recent one.

Excellent, it will be great to see the return of the samurai warrior.

Now my biggest question is who will voice Aku?

My question is what will the difference be with this on adult swim. Adult swim normally is obviously geared to adults with more violence, swearing, sexual themes, etc. I understand that most people that watched samurai jack are probably older now. It came out when I was about 16 I think and now I'm 28.

The creator of the show has done a lot of great work with different cartoons in his time. I wasn't into all of them but they had their merits. This was one of my favorites though.

Those clone wars shorts were so amazing. Fond memories. Edit- I just found them on youtube all in one video.

Excited for samurai jack!

SQEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!! SQEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!

I'm hoping that this will be less about the sexual themes and swearing and just amp up the violence by avoiding all the 'bots

I assume Mako's understudy, Greg Baldwin. He did a decent job taking over as Iroh from the Avatar series.

I came into this thread to be amused by the one a hole that didn't like the original. (This is Dakka. He's always there.)

Turns out it's me. The show just never really impressed. I'll probably give it a shot, but I'm lukewarm about it.

I heard about this. The animation, the styling, the aesthetics, the design are all very impressive to me. Though sadly the main villian Mako is no-longer there to provide his impressive voice talent, It will be interesting to see what they will do to make the show better. I know the actor that played samurai jack will probably come back.

I am going to lose my mind waiting for this to come out. Samurai Jack was so different from everything else out there when I was a kid and was the first show to teach me that cartoons could do more mature and serious storylines than just Saturday morning jokes.

YES!!! YES!! YEEEEEESSS!!

Samurai Jack was AMAZING! I'm so happy to know it will return!

Also, Samurai Jack was already violent like hell. It didn't show "blood", but the robot's / cyborg's oil was there, and oh my, there were many "bloody" scenes with Jack cutting them to bits.

It also had The Scotsman, with a machine gun for a leg. Gods, this show was so amazing.
