Since I've started playing, I've been trying my hardest to get my BT to work the way I want them to.

I had this list idea which includes:
Ten Honour Guard,
Grimaldus with Five servitors and
One LRC

I'd like to put both units in there, since it can hold Sixteen. But, I don't know if it works because Honour guard have a transport choice of a plain LR. If I list the LRC as a heavy support, could I start it with both units inside? Or did I miss something.

I don't think Grimaldus can go with the Honour Guards due to the Servitors as they don't have the Independent Character rule. You could just run Grimaldus alone and join the Honour Guard instead I think.

As for the LRC, if you take it as a HS choice then any infantry unit can begin inside of it. Only Dedicated Transports restrict which squads can go into them.

Dedicated transport only restricts who can start the game in it. It can be deployed empty and a unit that is different than the dedicated unit can deploy next to it and embark turn 1.
Servitors are not IC's so you couldn't join all of them together. 1 unit or the other could embark on the LR- or drop the servitors.

I was hoping it would work. I wanted the feel no pain for the whole unit, the servitors are useless otherwise. Back to the drawing board I guess.

I'm pretty sure that the Servitors are wargear, and are not counted as a separate unit from Grimaldus, but are still models for transport capacity, much like Drones and Wolves. However, since they shifted over to datasheets, its tough to locate the rules governing them.

As to Honor Guard and DT Land Raiders, yes, its just a stock Godhammers. You might be better off just going with a Crusader squad, instead.
