I am looking for several of the strip bases that hold 5 infantry from EPIC, in a 1x5 strip. I ALSO know these bases were used for fighter swarms in BFG

I am having a hard time finding the 20 or so bases I need, so was wondering if anyone knew of a non-GW maker of bases in that configuration.

I have plenty of "square 5" bases, but to match existing unit elements, I need strips.

I do not want to mix and match base configurations within a detachment.

There were quite a few options on shapeways last time I checked.

You can make your own really easy with that google sketch up program, or some others (as long as you have one to take measurements from). Shapeways will never be as cheap as mass produced plastic molds though.

But if cost is a factor, just buy some plasticard off amazon and cut yourself up some. Its really easy. Buy a hole punch in the right diameter and then just glue the holed piece onto an uncut piece.

They have been out of stock for a while.

You don't actually need to use strip bases, according to the rules: "a base may be no more than 40 or less than 5mm in any direction and must be at least 20mm in 1 direction".

I am basing my current Epic army entirely on coins. I am using 1 pence piece (20mm diameter) for light vehicles and 2 pence coins (25mm diameter) for infantry/bikes/medium vehicles. This is by far the cheapest and easiest method but you do need to use some form of putty to build up the bases to hide the small plug on the base of models.

For my last army I made my own strip bases from plastic sheets (some Renedra bases that came with some Perry historical minis) but that was time consuming and I still needed to build up the base afterwards.

Trouble is, you might want to. I was planning to use some myself when Steel Crown shut their doors and took their strip bases with them. I'm still wondering if they'll resurface sometime.

I'm sooo, sooo sorry.

Yeah.. what I am looking for is to "round off" units.. like I have 3 stands of Eldar Banshees already on strips, and have the 4th base models set aside, but until I get that last strip base, I cannot finish off the unit.

However. I have acquired MOST of what I needed from PMed offers.. whew!
