I have come to the conclusion that I am not a huge fan of the NL RoW.

What is the squad size of the heavy support squad?

I do like what you have here. I like phosphex with the NL, as it really seems like a weapon of terror.

I always wanted to try out massed Destroyer Squads with a Siege Breaker and Moritat within a NL force.

It's just a basic five man squad

Why don't you like the RoW? Its not great compared to other ROWs but its still marginally better than the vanilla ones, if only marginally.

I went to Hershey Park in central PA this year, and I have to say I was more than a little disappointed. I fully expected the entire theme park to be make entirely of chocolate, but no. Here in America, we have "building codes," and some other nonsense about chocolate melting if don't store it someplace kept below room temperature.

I could throw the heavy support squad up to ten by taking a couple of guys off each assault sqyad?

I don't like having to take three compulsory Terror Squads. It seems very costly in points.

I am not a fan of minimum heavy support squads. A good round of shooting and their gone. I would max them out, maybe drop five assault marines per squad.

If we were playing 40k and talking about tacticals, I would agree with you, but NL terror squads actually seem quite balanced points wise. I can totally imagine times where I would have wanted to take 3 terror squads anyway. the 0-1 limit on HS is more of a set back than the 3 compulsories IMO

I am still attempting to play around with the Terror Squads, Sevatar, The Atramentar and then add in some extras to cover off the short comings in anti-armour. Maybe some Mortis Contemptors? Not sure, they seem expensive.

I actually expected Night Raptors (Or some other special assault squad.), before the NL were actually released, to be a troops choice.

Terror squads rock. Our RoW is one of the better RoWs currently available. You wont hurt anything by dropping the assault squads down to 15 each. Counts as 30 for outnumbering.

Not much of a NL list though. Night Raptors are great. Cant see it being that effective.

If you dont short hand your list, Im not reading it.
Example: Assault Intercessors- x5 -Thunder hammer and plasma pistol on sgt.
or Assault Terminators 3xTH/SS, 2xLCs
For the love of God, GW, get rid of reroll mechanics. ALL OF THEM!

How would you make it effective then?

You get terror squads as troops which are awesome and can come in by drop pods or infiltrated. Vet squads can be drop podded in and they are excellent utility units. I like assault squads but would field no more than 15 due to the cost. Raptors are pretty damn good as well.

Your current list is one that any legion can take and be just as effective. Capitalize on what Night Lords can do that other legions cant. We have an awesome RoW. We move faster during night fight conditions which our RoW improves. We do well when we outnumber our opponent which encourages an infantry based army over vehicles. Our terminators get to deepstrike without using a RoW. Our RoW gives some really good units drop pods.
