Happy new year everybody! It's been a fair old while since we posted here, various life happenings meant last year was pretty quiet for releases but with things settling down we hope to bring out some cool new products for 2016!

First thing's first, our webstore template is apparently being retired which means some time needs to be spent updating it. We're going to use this as an opportunity to do some serious tinkering which means it'll likely be down for at least 2-3 weeks, so until the end of January we have a big black sale on, with up to 25% off RRP on pretty much our entire range of terrain! If you got into Infinity in 2015 this is the perfect opportunity to treat yourself to a brand new table full of shiny terrain.

Spoiler:

Warmill city is best city!

One of the first new products we'll be adding is our new tactical boardgame Space Kaboom! Designed to be purely tactical with none of those pesky dice that thwart your plans at the worst moment, Space Kaboom is extremely simple to learn but offers plenty of thoughtful gameplay. The initial release will be a boxed 2-player set with a range of extra fleets available to get extra players involved, followed by some extra gameplay additions like celestial phenomena.

The rules are free to check out here, we'll get a gameplay video and sample battle report up soon.

Here's a couple of images, spoilered for size

Bad Warmill, naughty Warmill tempting me to get more of your terrain! I guess I'm going to have to head over there and order some more! On a same but different note how do you basecoat your terrain? I've had no luck with spray paint as it leaves a cobweb like substance all over the surface. I had better luck with my airbrush as a tester but I only have a wee gravity fed cup and no bottom fed bottle.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Ok I'm interested in the skyline roads but I'm unsure on how to integrate it with my current terrain. I have the Mega Mansion from you guys and I'm worried if I pick the roads up I'll have the ends of the roads leading nowhere or sheer drops from the ends. Do you have any pictures of them with your other terrain so I can decide whether or not to pick them up (other then the one shown above as it doesn't show much).

@overtyrant

Honestly I've always used spraypaints, going black > grey > colour. All our CAShstak stuff was painted by Ed with a gravity-fed airbrush, we have a couple of these we call paint cannons that absolutely blast paint out, they're great for getting the basecoat layers on.

Here's another pic of the same customer's setup, a Mega City Skylevel set gives you a lot of roads so it's pretty easy to span the board with them. Until you see them in the flesh it's quite hard to appreciate just how big they are.

Oh yes the robots! This was a real tale of woe where we invested heavily in a 3D printer to make our masters that never worked as it should have, after over a year of battling with it we eventually replaced it with a DLP printer that is working fantastically. The good news is they are finally going to be released as sexy resin kits, with casting done by the excellent chaps at Zealot Miniatures. After meeting with them to discuss moulding I'm going to reprint as couple of parts on little sprues but finally they're thiiiis close to release! We have run some numbers to weigh up a small limited KS versus regular release, but any KS will be entirely to try and get a slightly lower bulk price. After 2(?!) years the engines will finally walk! (And if they don't Ed might actually kill me).

Spoiler:

The painted robots were printed on a Form 1 so the quality is a bit lower than the final production prints.
