All i can think of is that the Alpha Legion used their face-altering technology to create a Nathaniel Garro Doppleganger to 'Replace' him so they could infiltrate the Knights-Errant, and to see what Malcador is up to

Would anyone have a problem with that? I only ask this as there were no loyalist alpha legionnaires, so the taking the 'real' Garro would break the fluff (and crunch, as you can only take him in loyalist armies)

Well, there's nothing stopping you from saying your Alpha Legionaries are loyalists. You just wouldnt be able to use the special characters or Alpharius.

Well, we don't really know in the fluff if the Alpha Legion are traitor or loyalist: they tend to do as they please, or some ulterior motive. So, Garro could have been contacted by a group of AL, and to gain information, accompanies them?

Indeed. There are potentially Loyalists (and Traitors) in each legion; every legion had detachments and forces separate from the main body of the legion which might have gone a different way.

Alpharius and Exodus are both [Traitor] characters, so you couldn't have them and Garro, who's a [Loyalist] in the same force, but a generic Alpha Legion force is fine.

Garro is nice for Alpha Legion, anyway - as a character he's great for playing mind games with your opponent.

Maybe Garro was Alpharius all along? It seems EVERYONE is Alpharius these days...
