I meant to make this post a while ago, when I started on these two, but I kinda got caught up in them. ^^;

Anyways, first is my conversion of Kharn. He's always been one of my favorite, both in fluff and gameplay, and I wanted something that would stand out to represent him.
So, the obvious choice for a base was the Bloodsecrator from the AoS line, because, well... skulls. Plus he's a great deal bigger than normal CSM to begin with.
The tricky part was turning adding PA to him, since I'll admit my GS work leaves a lot to be desired.

And at the same time, I started on Typhus. Since I run a Word Bearers army, I didn't want him to be 100% Nurgle, and I had to make him taller, too.

He's the one in the middle.

Completed Typhus next to a CSM, and a Termi:

A better shot of his MoN, and Destroyer Hive, as well as Manreaper:

Kharn next to the same CSM:

Would love some C&C on these guys. Tell me what you think!

the typhus is cool. how did you upscale the terminator stuff? i'm a big fan of upscaling and i'm planning to make a true scale kharn myself. however, I think you'd have been better off using the terminator method, and just using parts from the bloodsecrator as he still seems a little too AoS to me. although the finished result might prove me wrong. i personally am going to use terminator legs, and bloodreaver parts as well as the odd 40k weapons to make mine.

These are ones I made as a practice pieces. Your sculpting is good so theres no reason you couldnt make them parts work with the termie bits.

I'm not really a fan of the Terminator method. I played around with it, but I just doesn't look natural to me. And Kharn does look a little AoS, but it's kinda what I was going for. I like the look of the Fantasy-style armor, coupled into a 40k armor.

As for upscaling Typhus, you can kinda see in the first picture with him. Two slides of plasticard in each leg for height, and one vertically through the back of the torso for width. I've seen it done similarly to upscale power armor, and thought I'd give it a shot with Termi's. Probably would've been easier with a loyalist frame.

I like the take on Kharn, though he does strike me as a more feudal / daemon world Betrayer, between the axe, the armor and the re-envisioned helmet. Which is cool. I'm not a fan of the Bloodsecrator's skull bib though, would have been interesting to salvage his chest detail somehow - having built one a few days back, I know it's in there

On Typhus, I really like the towering terminator look, nice counter to the stock, squat termi sculpt. Maybe my one recommendation would be to extend the central spike on the cowling above his head? Doesn't have to be huge, but would serve as a visual nod to his helm's single horn. Unless the idea is that that helm is somewhere, but he just took it off here?

I thought about leaving the skulls off, or working them in somewhere else, but I decided I kinda liked the idea of having them worked into his chestplate. Using them as a sort of armor. Or something.

As for Typhus' helm, I'm still considering having it on his person, mag-locked to his belt or some such. Though I like that idea and will probably do that if I decide to forgo that. Thanks.
