Hi there folks does anyone know what the rule is for allying chaos with imperial guard? Not sure whether anything's changed since the latest rulebook. I really want to build up an allied detachment for my CSM army now its a decent size, I know Daemons are battlebros but I keep seeing Traitor Guard and it seems to fit my guns n' ammo theme rather than psychic. I'm a bit stuck though, not really sure what traitor guard are? Is there another codex with the rules or are they just IG, I had a gut feeling its something from a forgeworld book?! Can anyone point me in the right direction, Thanks in advance Ash

Imperial Guard is an IoM army so uses the same alliance chart as any other imperium army.

What you are seeing is people using the Forge World army list of Renegades and Heretics which are chaos so are battle brothers with CSM and Daemons. They're basically IG but they have a bunch of different rules and options so you can't just use the IG book and say their Chaos. The lists are found in IA13 or IA:Vraks (the vraks lists is slightly different as well)
