Had some ideas for more Formations for the Harlies, to offer a bit more versatility in list-building. I was wondering what people thought of them.

Formation: The Opening Gambit

Skyweaver Jetbikes stream forward at high speed, causing havoc amongst the enemy in preparation for the assault of rest of the Masque.

2x Skyweavers

Special Rules:
Opening Act: Units in this formation gain the 'Scout' special rule.
FaolchĂș's Favour: All models in this formation gain the 'Expert Rider' special rule.

Formation: The Phenomenal Display

Players advance to slaughter the enemy, assisted by Shadowseers, who focus on using their illusionary powers to supplement the Harlequin's already formidable Holo-Fields.

2x Troupes
2x Shadowseers

Special rules:
Must be taken as two units of Troupe + Shadowseer. The Shadowseer can not leave the troupe, other independent characters can not join the unit.
Dazzling Display: Holo-fields provide a 4+ invulnerable save to models in this unit. If the Shadowseer attached to the troupe dies, this bonus is lost. Consequently, the Shadowseer generates one less Warp Charge per turn.

Formation: The Final Act

At the close of the battle, sinister Death Jesters band together to cause terror amongst the enemy, breaking their morale with greater effectiveness and forcing them to break ranks and flee.

3x Death Jesters

Special Rules:
Shrouded
Must be taken as a unit of three
Playing the Crowd: Leadership tests from Death is Not Enough are taken at -4 Leadership, instead of -2, when wounds are caused by Death Jesters in this formation.

Formation: All-Star Cast

Heroes and Villains come together to form a cast capable of defeating even the most elite of foes, inspiring the rest of the Masque on to even greater performances.

1x Shadowseer
1x Death Jester
1x Solitaire
3x Troupe Masters

Special Rules: Must be taken as one unit, and independent characters can not leave the unit. This overrules the Soltiare's Solitary Path special rule.
Heralds of the Laughing God (All units with the Eldar/Dark Eldar faction within 6" gain Crusader)
Consummate Performance (Re-roll 1s for invulnerable saves)
Emissary of Cegorach (Re-roll for warlord traits on light, twilight or dark tables if warlord is a troupe master from this unit)

Formation: Show-Stopper

A squadron of Voidweavers unleash their devastating firepower upon the enemy, each one using their mirage launchers to cover the others in a display of extraordinary co-ordination.

3 x Voidweavers

Special Rules:
Must be taken as one squadron.
Well-Rehearsed: This unit can elect to use Mirage Launchers once per model, rather than once per game.

Just a few idle musings, mostly using existing models and rules but with a few new formation bonus ideas as well. Any thoughts?

I like these formations quite a bit, particularly the Phenomenal Display. The -1 Warp Charges bit is a kick in the teeth, but the rest of it, combined with the fact that the formation really doesn't have any taxes, works quite well.

I figured that there had to be at least some kind of reason to take your troupe+shadowseer combos in any other formation or detachment and wasn't sure simply missing out on Rising Crescendo was enough, and that was the most fitting idea for me, given that the Shadowseers would be focusing on using their power to boost the illusionary effect of the holo-fields. I'm fairly new at this sort of thing, though, so any suggestions would be welcome!

Basically, I wanted to come up with things that were useful, small and tax-free to provide more options for players without inventing a HQ from scratch and potentially make the less viable units a bit more useful (DJs and Voidweavers), but nothing too overpowered. Except the Super Clown Death Star Formation Squad Team. That's just there because I thought it would be really cool.
