Hi guys this has been bugging me cant get my head round it any help would be greatly appreciated:

Plague Marines, standard wargear = bolt pistol and plague knife, 1 attack in statline. Should I be adding on an attack for the 2x CCws

Chaos Lord, wargear = powerfist and lightning claw (both specialiast weapons). I have been adding an extra attack for 2x CCWs but should I be doing this as I've just realised with standard unreplaced wargear (CCW and Bolt pistol) that's already 2x CCWs and a base statline of 3 attacks.

3rd topic, more of a musing really, I'd be interested to know whether my loyalist counterparts get a similar deal with their run of the mill space marine troop. Referring to the standard humble CSM, you get 1 attack base, I'm ok with this as he just has the pistol. You can upgrade however and add a CCW for 2pts giving him 2x attacks. You could even gain 3 attacks with VOTLW too vs Space Marines I guess?
I know people say the basic CSM sucks but how does a 75 pts for a 5 man naked squad compare costwise to other SM chapters? Just trying to price them up really and compare special rules and what I would have to add points wise in the way of icons etc to bring them up to a similar standard, Fearless being my main concern. Am I right in thinking some of you get WSKNF which is basically the same thing but included in the statline.

Many thanks for any replies, Ash

A Plague Marine will never let you down... he can't call into work sick!

#1 yes

#2 I don't see a question here. unless, yes either loadout gives you the same number of attacks. the claw fist combo just gives you more versatility and high quality attacks

#3 naked chaos squad 75 points, naked loyalist squad 70 points and they get ATSKNF with the deal. A chaos squad has more options in the long run, but you will always pay more points for it and whether it makes them "good" is debatable

Yes, plague marines have 2 attacks base due to the bolt pistol and knife.
Not sure what you mean with the lord? You get a bonus attack for having two specialist weapons, yes. A bolt pistol and ccw would also get you a bonus attack. By taking a power fist and lightning claw you are replacing the bolt pistol and the ccw. And in order to retain the bonus attack you would also have to replace both as you can't claim the bonus attack with just a normal ccw and a specialist weapon.

Not sure where you're seeing a third attack from VotlW. All that does is give you hatred(Space Marines) and +1 leadership. Don't know chapter tactics and what not well enough to answer the rest, but I suspect you won't like the answer.

Power weapon and combibolter does not give you an extra attack, fist and claw do. Being in terminator armour doesn't do anything to change how you get the bonus attack.
