How do you field 1 to 3 knights in 30k?

As allies or as their own list?

If you want to field a Knight household, you'll need Book IV: Conquest.

I'd field them either way. Allies or as their own list.

Either as an allied detachment meaning you need 2+ or as their own. I don't know if its possible for the guard or mechanicum to field them singly but the Legions cannot.

If you dont short hand your list, Im not reading it.
Example: Assault Intercessors- x5 -Thunder hammer and plasma pistol on sgt.
or Assault Terminators 3xTH/SS, 2xLCs
For the love of God, GW, get rid of reroll mechanics. ALL OF THEM!

I have two. Soon 3. I'd like to use them in 30k also.

Agreed. The Qaestoris Knight Houshold is an army list, and knights sit in normal Force Organisation 'slots'.

HH IV - Conquest - has the details

Some info about it here:

Just for a general idea of how the list works.

Mechanicum can field them as a Lord of War choice.

Thanks for the link! That clears things up a bit and also explains the purpose of Book 4 to me. I wonder if the Taghmata Army book includes how to field Knight?

It does. I have the mechanicum red book and it has all the knight rules except the atrapos I believe which is posted on the FW site. It has the other FOC charts for using them like leviathan which allows you to take a superheavy as your warlord and an allied detachment.

Solar Auxillia can also field them as a Lord of War from the Questoris Knight list, though you don't use the Household Rank rule.

Actually, Mechanicum can field up to two with one LoW-slot.
Just saying.
I `ve got a Paladin. And would prefer a tank like a Malcador in that case(Ordo Reductor) anyway......

30k: Taghmata Omnissiah(5,5k)
Ordo Reductor(4,5k)
Legio Cybernetica(WIP)

40k(Inactive): Adeptus Mechanicus(2,5k)

The Leviathan FOC is meant for things like Titans, the mandatory Lord of War has to be 9+ HP. You can have up to four Indentured Knights in it but you'd need something big for them to support.
