Hi all! This is a test list for a fluff game a buddy and I have coming up. Long story short: Traitor DG vs. DG/TS shattered legions + Solar auxilia. The board will be covered in Trenches that will be acting as aegis lines, AND rules for the lists were simply no Lords of War on traitor side (due to the fluff of the previous matches) and traitors can deep-strike any d3 units.

Mission wise: For every turn I hold out against the enemy, I get 1 VP, there's 2 objectives (1 in my deployment zone (1 VP for me, 2 VP for him), 1 ~mid field (2 VP for me, 1 VP for him). When an enemy unit is destroyed, on a 5+ it goes into regular reserves and gains outflank. Additionally, the enemy team gets 3 VP for killing the praetor. Loyalists have first turn, traitors cannot seize.

Anywho, the list:
Spoiler:

The Auxilia hold the line in the trenches, while the Medusas + Rapiers bombard the enemy as they move up. The Marines + Leviathan sit in the back untill either 1) the enemy is close enough to assault, or 2) the deep striking reserves come in. Beyond that, the house-hold guard + 2 regular veletaris move up the trenches to grab any objectives and stall any flanking enemies. Any C&C? Both of the list, and the mission (if you think it will be to one sided, etc. etc.)

I'll never be able to repay CA for making GW realize that The Old World was a cash cow, left to die in a field.

It's hard to give C&C on the list since the narrative campaign. If you got the points maby split the 6 rapiers into 3 squads of 2?

otherwise I just wanted to say sounds like it will be a fun game. ^^

I see what you mean. Also, I would split the rapiers, but then I'd need to remove one of the household guard since I only have 4 slots.

I rarely leave home without a void shield generator to park the artillery under. It really helps with the counter-battery fire.

Consider kitting one Veletaris squad out with power axes.

The enemy will be coming to you, fast - it's a good plan to have a counter-assault unit that can make a decent dent in a terminator squad - and people often underestimate Veletaris pioneers because they're "only human".

On the charge, in base contact with one another, they've got 2 attacks each, WS5, S4, AP2, Preferred Enemy (Infantry) - when you're looking at a unit which also has unwieldy weapons too, they can kill a hell of a lot of guys for not all that many points.

Working on it

Would you consider dropping the Leviathan for a squad of Grave Wardens? I feel the chemical flamers could help but it is a Leviathan

List looks fantastic

<Dynasty> ~10500pts
War Coven of the Coruscating Gaze ~3000pts
Thrice-Damned Plague Corps ~3250pts
Admech (TBN) ~3500pts +30k Bots and Ulator
