Deranged Necron Destroyer

Leicester, England

Simple question: What do we know about them? The 5th edition Necron Codex described them as a "living stone portal" that essentially breaks into the webway, allowing the Necrons to use it and emerge at their destination. I'm currently reading Hammer and Anvil, which describes a Dolmen Gate as "An inverted tetrahedral surround of old iron[...] glinting with flickers of power. Dull, unearthly light gathered in the open framework of the thing[...] Where the glow emanated, she saw something like a scrap of gossamer net, dancing as if borne by winds. It seemed to be pulling from the dust itself, formed out of nothingness."

The Watched says that it leads "everywhere", so I'm assuming that means that it can eject the Necrons anywhere the Webway will take them, but not necessarily with a way back, which seems strange. An alternative theory as that there are many Dolmen Gates, and one can enter into any one of them and emerge from any other, but that doesn't quite fit the text as written so far.

Are there any other scraps of information I could find about them? Anything I've missed or forgotten?

From how I understand it, there are Dolmen gates scattered around the galaxy. You can enter the Webway through a Dolmen gate and then emerge anywhere the webway goes. You'd then need to find another Dolmen gate to reenter the webway.

IIRC a Tomb Ship actually carriers its own Dolmen gate, which would solve some issues.
