Why Aye Ya Canny Dakkanaughts!

So could someone clear this up: which comes first?

Did warzone Fenris come first in which case all of the intrigue is lost because we know that the dark angels and space wolves both fight against chaos in the defence of Cadia.

OR

Are they happening at the same time in which case Grimnar has cloned himself so he can both fight in the Fenris system and the Cadia system.

OR

Is warzone Fenris happening after the 13th Black crusade which means GW has come up with another BS reason for why chaos didn't overload the pylons.

OR

GW is stupid and doesn't realise it is clashing the Fenris conflict with the largest conflict since the Horus Heresy.

Before, definitely before. It wouldn't make sense otherwise.

Well so much for warzone Fenris being anything other than a way for GW to sell more products without having to advance/change the story.

Maybe the Angels and the Wolves shake hands at the end before burning out for the Eye of Terror?

"Sorry, mate. Big misunderstanding and all that, eh?"

Or the Space Wolves become renegades, and it suddenly makes way more sense for them to have their own Codex.

Actually, it's during the 13th black crusade. I forget where I read it, but it was in a codex somewhere

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Wait, not a codex. It was on the wiki time line. Somewhere late in m41, the Cadians spotted wolf like creatures tearing apart the demons, which was believed to be the SW 13th Great Company

It would make sense that the alpha legion + daemons would attack the Fenris system and incriminate the Space Wolves during the black crusade so that imperial forces are drawn from the eye of terror however the space wolves are recorded fighting in the defense of Cadia. The fluff just don't add up.

The Wiki is probably operating off of the fluff of the old EoT campaign, which did have Wulfen of the 13th Company fighting Chaos.

But nothing that happened in the EoT Campaign has actually happened "in-universe" yet, since they rolled back to the very beginning of the 13th BC, so still plenty of time for the SW to having nothing actually happen to them (they will win Warzone Fenris, believe me, the Wolves never actually lose, even when they do, they still win) and then to fight on Cadia.

It is best to be a pessimist. You are usually right and, when you're wrong, you're pleasantly surprised.
