Numberless Necron Warrior

Hi there,

Just thought I'd share some pics of this figure, my first finished Necron Immortal. It took me a while to finish as I was trying to decide exactly how I wanted it to look as a template for the rest of the unit I plan on doing. It's a pretty stock standard colour scheme, I'm still working on honing my painting technique so I'm not trying anything too fancy just yet. One thing I am particularly pleased about with this paint job however is the green tubing running up the sides of his spine; almost every photo I see of this model misses those so I'm pretty proud of the job I did there.

This model is my first attempt at working with green stuff, which I used to seal the gaps between his torso, shoulders, the tubing from the gun, and with the gun conversion. I think it turned out pretty good for a first attempt, although the break in the lower tube coming from the gun is pretty obvious.

I know most people dislike the old Necron gauss rods, and I can see why; they betray the sense of scale and gritty realism one looks for in a miniature. However I have a soft spot for them, which comes from a nostalgic appreciation of the old metal Necrons that all game with rods, I'm a stickler for consistency and I want my Immortals to match my Warriors, and I don't like the design of the rods they added to replace the old ones, they look too ornate in my opinion.

Anyway, thanks for looking, all C&C appreciated

I like it! I'm just starting up my own Necron army, so nice to see some other models out there for inspriation

Completely did not realise the tubing went throiugh his spine, thanks for that tip! Now I have something even smaller to paint

Also, I'm assuming the shoulder pad gap is a recognised thing then? I've built 3 of my squad up and they all have it, so i was assuming maybe I did something wrong lol.

Anyway, great job on the mini

Awesome conversion, wish I did it to mine. Don't like the standard centre of the non flayer guns. Very tidy and clean paint job

Excellent job! And yeah I don't think I've ever seen the spine painted that way before.

Great job.
