Is this viable, or am I *completely* insane?

2 Knight Paladins at 375pts a piece.
&
30 Legion of the Damned, 3 10 man units at 250pts each.

1500pts on the nose.

Thoughts?
Would you fight it?

Marines with grav

If they alpha strike your knights, prepare yourself.

-would marines ever *actually* be packing enough Grav to completely invalidate the list? like I get that in theory Grav screws everything with a 2+, but surely tat's countered by the stock 4+ invulnerable save?

-Tau would be a matter of deep-striking, rapid-firing: then rapid firing and assaulting next turn (relentless)

-'Crons are scary no matter what you bring...

-Grav spam marines are likely to be bike mounted if they're geared for competitive play? -they wouldn't be able to jink against the massed ignores-cover bolter shots?

-again, elder and their jinking scatterbikes will suffer from ignores cover? wraithknights countered by the knights?

Marines can pack a full Skyhammer of grav, then a battle demi company minmaxed with gravcents and tacs w/ gravguns and combigravs.

Tau have crisis suits, scary already considering their versatility and even scarier when they don't even need a formation and can be taken as troops.

Crons as stated.

Eldar pack significantly more StrD than knights in general, and for LoTD, what's to say they don't all fail their DS?

2 Dev squads of 8 gravcannons put out roughly thirty shots-ish, then the two combi grabs for another six, then the same thirtyish shots from cents and then another eighteen or so from the tac marines, then the Sarge in the assault squads can take a grav pistol i believe.

Well over 100 potential grav shots, have fun.

Generally I don't see too many Grav-spamming marines in my area, if only due to the presence of multiple horde armies such as 'Nids and Greenskins, but even then Grav-min max is pretty rare, if only due to how versatile it is. nice point, but not enough to stop me building the list.

Tau crisis suits are versatile and scary, but I'm not too worried as tau are again pretty rare, and even then I reckon I'd give them a run for the money?

-The Legion Ascendant formation, means that they all come in turn 1, scattering a single D6, and inflicting 2D6 S4 AP5 Soulblaze automatic hits on enemy units withing 12". yeah they could scatter wildly, but it's part of the fun?

-ultimately I'm not too worried about being
hyper-competitive, and it seems to me like a good use for 30 power armoured Heresy-Era marines?

-If not LotD, could you please suggest either 250, 500 or 750pts worth of allies for a pair of knight paladins? I'm looking to create a new army for my 18th in a few weeks you see, so I'm going to be semi-limited financially?
