Daemons of nurgle rule is pretty tastey! get a slain model back per turn per unit! pretty ridiculous.

I guess it depends what unit really. I really wouldnt care if I get a plaguebearer much. I mean its cool but not game changing. If you get something like a plague drone back... not that would be cool!

There are a lot of formations in the AoS app, even a ton of Nurgle formations. Which formation comes in the starter box?

Just discovered that the "exclusive" formations aren't in the AoS app, they are only in the boxes as far as I can tell.

Ghost Storm from Malignants Battalion: In your hero phase, teleport one of the other units to the Mortis Engine.

Daemons of Khorne, in your hero phase one unit can pile in and attack.

I agree that Nurgle's looks awesome. In each hero phase, return one slain model to each unit within 7" of the Nurgle Herald.

The Slaves to Darkness starter box ability is weaker and was probably written by someone different from the person who wrote the Malignants and Nurgle abilities. For slaves to darkness, pick a unit in your hero phase within 10" of your sorcerer and then roll randomly for one of three abilities: 1) heal 1 model of d3 wounds; 2) do a regular move (but can't retreat or run); 3) closest enemy unit suffers d3 mortal wounds. If you pick a unit in melee, then the move ability won't work. Chaos Warriors can only heal 1 wound, and what if none of the models in the unit are wounded? Two out of three abilities could be useless during a turn. It would be a better ability if you could roll for the ability and then decide which unit gets it.

And that even assumes that the Chaos Sorceror can stay within 10" of another unit ... the Cavalry and Chariot are likely to outdistance the Sorceror who is on foot.

'Murica! (again)

Could someone be a peach and post the gist of the starterbox formations please? Or, if this is already posted, smack be on the nose and say, "NO!" then show me where?

A google search will find images of the Khorne and Nurgle Daemon starter box formations. There is a you tube video discussing the Malignant formation.

I have the Sylath's Warhost (Slaves to Darkness). In your hero phase, pick a Warhost unit within 10" of the chaos sorcerer and roll a d6. 1-2 one model heals d3 wounds; 3-4 closest enemy unit suffers d3 mortal wounds; 5-6 immediately move as if it was the movement phase, except can't retreat or run.

Sylath's Warhost is good for moving those units up in case they got left out of the fun. In case chaos is fickle you might still heal or hurt some enemies nearby.

What is the Greenskinz one like? I don't remember it off the top of my head.
