Subject: GW Organized Play "Tank Shock" tactica or discussions?

Hey all. Forgive me if this happened elsewhere, but I was wondering if anyone has given thought as to what might make fun, or interesting choices for the upcoming 40k Tank Shock mini-league? Personally I am using it as an excuse for some fun 40k, using less typical choices, but I do know it creates an interesting environment for tactica.
For instance, I am told Flyers are allowed as league purchases, meaning you've got a bit of rock/scissors/paper at low points. Do I, take an anti-air vehicle for fear of flyers, but limit my value against regular vehicles, etc? In particular, I feel like the 500 - 1000pt parts of the league might be cool.
That said, we already have one player promising to take a Wraith Knight, and another a Storm-Surge (our venue ruled you can buy/play anything... you just won't get the special rule bonus a chosen vehicle would), so it might be moot, and a sad six weeks.
Any thoughts?
Personally as I am building a Tau army as a side project, I will be going with a Sky Ray. I figure its semi-self-sufficient with networked marker-lights, and its in-built, optional skyfire makes it a good "meta" choice. That said, I embrace the possibility of biffing its missle-shots and it quickly being worthless. :-p

The packet literally encourages you to use a Baneblade, so do whatever you want and it'll probably be fun . Personally, I'm going with a Vindicator, since I can use it in both 40k and 30k and it's a fun tank to bring

Yeah... this sounds like its going to be a blast. *eye roll*
Luckily, it is my understanding that the organizer is discouraging folks from playing with the really obscene stuff.

I'm glad this thread was started. I am interested in getting in to it as well. But the rules also say that if you army has no vehicles, then you can give a monstrous creature tankhunter and play in the campaign anyway.
So a FMC or Be'Lakor would really do a lot of damage in these types of games.
But other than that. I think a battlewagon would work pretty well. The 7 on the chart is BS5. Imagine some of those ork guns firing at BS5. Would be pretty impressive.
But I might go with a Manticore or Basilisk and go with the Emperors Wrath Artillery Company.
