It's been a long time since i've played 40k for the last time. Now i've been seduced by Adeptus mechanicus models (both skitarii & cult mechanicus).

I'm here looking for help to build a non-competitive but still playable 1500-1850 Army list. I like barely all models of two armies so It only depend on their profiles.

Thx in advance!

Hey, I'm building an AdMech list too, trying to find an enjoyable list that can stand it's own against most enemies. So far from what I've seen the War Convocation formation is the standard and pretty much builds the list for you. It seems like a lot of fun but on the other hand it scares me a bit because of how powerful it is supposed to be, I worry people will just call cheese and not enjoy playing against it.

However the variety of units and wargear makes for a lot of fun tinkering, and that's something I like. Been trying to build a 2000 point army with dominus maniples and a souped up Cohort Cybernetica but it's a bit hars to get something I'm happy with.

If you're looking for a "non-comptetitive but playable" AdMech force just get whatever you think looks cool. Maybe buy one formation at a time if you like formations. The only real garbage unit is the electro-priests. Everything else has a niche, although Rustalkers are difficult to use.

Thanks, that was the kind of information I was looking for. I will try many lists with friends and then I told you how It went hehe.

It's sad that electro-priests don't have a profile as cool as their model T,T

I started with just the start collecting box. I build 10 vanguard, got some plasma caliver from the internet and equipped the 10 man squad with 3 of em.
The formation gives "rerolls to hit".

Starting with a 10 man squad that unleashes 9 shots with S7, AP2 is just awesome (gets hot is not an issue with rerolls and 4+ armor).
Also the dunecrawler with icarus array is just as awesome as anti-air vehicle.

This formation is really strong to begin with. And you could always use blood angels as your allies and put your vanguard in drop-pods. If you take 3 drop-pods and 3 x 10 vanguard with plasma caliver, MEQ will hate you (30 vanguard, 3 omnispex, 9 plasma caliver, 3 droppods should be 690 pts. Pretty good for what they are able to do).

Also remember those sweet army wide buffs, but dont use +3 BS / -2 WS when you drop-pod in melee range!
