I seem to recall that someone was saying that non-imperial guard units can ride in a Stormlord. I can't find that rule anywhere, after checking the Escalation book it doesn't seem like that's the case but I wanted to see if anyone else knew if this was possible?

Its called the Stormlord, NOT stormsword; it carries 40, 20 can fire out the back.

If you look up the Allies section in the rulebook, under Levels of Alliance you will find Battle Brothers. The last bullet point gives battle brother allies permission to ride in each others transports.

Unless there is a specific restriction against it, all armies of the imperium can embark on a stormlord

"If you wait a few months, they'll pick one of the worst codexes and they'll nerf almost everything, its an abstract sort of balance, but it's the sort of balance gw likes... "

Thanks...although a simple correction without the emphasis would've been quite alright.

As to your answer it didn't address my question about all, do you have any insight on that?

So, in the escalation book it says it can only transport imperial guard, but I just know I've seen other users to asking about it transporting other units....

Like was referenced in this thread: http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/681914.page

As far as I can see, it only states - in Escalation, under the Stormlord entry - 'Transport Capacity: Forty models.'

I can't see anything about it being only Astra Militarum or Imperial Guard.

So, any Imperial infantry can embark.

battle bros can ride in their bro's vehicles. 7th ed BRB is newer than the escalation publication.

...that big sanction stamp of APPROVAL means it's OFFICIAL. No, I don't have to ask you for permission. D-cannons win games.

Thanks! At the start of the imperial guard section it states one they can embark.

BUT I found out that in Mont'ka there are updated data sheets without that restriction! So we're good here.

Ah, I see that part now. It's buried amidst the rest of the intro.

It's good to know that the Mont'ka datasheets have changed the Escalation ones.
