So I have.. dunno, name it whim, about making a tempestus list and I'd like to know wether or not you see this as a "remotedly competitive" list.
Fortifications:

1) Imperial bastion with comm-relay.
HQs:

1)commissar, barebones, he's the warlord and the bastion is for him. 25pts
2) Command squad, medikit and vox caster, two plasma guns and tempestor with fist. Taurox prime with taurox cannon and autocannon plus heavy stubber, dozer blades and commo netting 265pts

Troops:

two deep striking 5man squads with two meltgaguns and a vox caster 170pts
two 5 man squads riding tauroxes, they bring two meltas and voxcasters the tauroxes bring missile launchers, dozer blades. One has an auto cannon while the other uses a TL HS Volley gun and a heavy stubber.

So my idea is to deepstrike the melta squads (while re-rolling my reserve rolls) so I can deal with the tougher armor while my vehicles run and maul light armor and mid to heavy infantry as the plasma squads will go and kill TEQs. Any ideas?

I think the most competitive way to play Scions is as Troops in a Tempestus Combined Arms Detachment. The goal is to overwhelm with Deep Striking Objective Secured units. You'll lose most Kill Point missions but you can compete in most others.

Tauroxii can be good, but not as good as another deep striking squad you could have fot the same points.
